Melting, Casting, and Remelting
The scrap and ferro-alloy are melted at high temperature based on the composition needs and refined sequentially. They are bottom cast into ingots or electrode.
The remelting can improve the cleanliness, segregation, and material characteristics of molten steel. The ingots made from electrode using electro slag remelting (ESR) or vacuum arc remelting (VAR) can be used to produce functional materials.

Conversion
Forging/BDM: Ingots are processed to become round or flat bars in the 4-Hammers Rotary Forging Machine were or hydraulic forging press. They can be processed into billets through BDM(Break Down Mill) or forging. GMTC has RF-70 4-Hammers Rotary Forging Machine and 3500-ton hydraulic forging press so that it can meet different demands in the market.
Rolling: The forged or rolled billets are processed by 3-high roughing mill and hydraulic CNC precision rolling mill to round bars. The equipment is characterized by fast roll replacement, high precision, and high production flexibility to meet customer needs.
Main equipment: 4-Hammers Rotary Forging Machine, 3500-ton hydraulic forging press, Break Down Mill(BDM), 3-high roughing mill, hydraulic CNC precision rolling mill

The heat treatment allows the adjustment of material characteristics based on the customer’s end-use environment. GMTC has various types of furnaces that will be maintained regularly to meet the quality and cost requirements of our customers.
